Xavian Sorey Jr. Bio

Xavian Sorey Jr.

Xavian Sorey Jr. is a linebacker and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career with the Arkansas Razorbacks after three seasons at the University of Georgia. A native of Campbellton, Florida, Sorey spent his first three high school seasons at Graceville High School, where he starred as a multi-sport athlete at running back, linebacker, and defensive back, before transferring to IMG Academy for his senior year. He was rated a composite five-star recruit, the No. 1 outside linebacker and No. 20 overall prospect in the 2021 class, and committed to Georgia over offers from Miami, LSU, Florida State, Clemson, Alabama, and Auburn, earning selection to both the 2021 All-American Bowl and the 2021 Polynesian Bowl. After appearing in 27 games over three seasons at Georgia in primarily a reserve role, including the Bulldogs' 2022 national championship run, he transferred to Arkansas and immediately became one of the SEC's most productive linebackers, leading the team with 99 tackles in 2024 and following up with 81 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 2025.

Standing 6-foot-3 and 231 pounds, Sorey is known for elite athleticism, exceptional sideline-to-sideline pursuit speed, and the ability to make plays from all alignments, traits he credits in part to a multi-sport background that included leading his high school basketball team in scoring and rebounding. His combination of five-star pedigree, experience in two SEC programs, and back-to-back seasons as Arkansas's leading tackler have positioned him as an intriguing linebacker prospect with the speed, athleticism, and production to develop into a multi-down starter at the next level.
