Terion Stewart is a running back and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career with the Virginia Tech Hokies after spending four seasons with the Bowling Green Falcons. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Stewart grew up in Sandusky, Ohio, and committed to Bowling Green as a three-star recruit. He made an immediate impact as a freshman before sitting out the 2022 season, then produced back-to-back standout campaigns at BGSU with 762 rushing yards in 2023, when his missed-tackles-forced-per-attempt rate ranked second nationally behind only Ashton Jeanty, and 898 yards with six touchdowns in 2024, earning first-team All-MAC honors. He transferred to Virginia Tech as a graduate student for the 2025 season and made his mark against NC State with a career-high 174 yards including an 85-yard run, finishing the year with 534 yards and 5.7 yards per carry in ten games before declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft. Across his college career at both programs, Stewart totaled more than 2,400 rushing yards and built a reputation as one of the most efficient yards-after-contact runners in the country.
Standing 5-9 and 222 pounds with a bowling-ball build, Stewart is a compact, powerful runner who specializes in contact balance and short-area evasion. His initial burst out of the backfield is exceptional, allowing him to reach near-top speed in just a couple of strides and beat linebackers to designated spots. He wins with leverage, running behind low pad level and driving through defenders rather than around them, generating yards after contact on virtually every touch. His tackle-breaking ability and downhill running style have drawn significant praise from evaluators, while concerns center on limited top-end long speed, minimal receiving production, and ball security issues that will need to be addressed. Stewart projects as a late-round Day 3 pick with the physicality and contact balance to compete for a roster spot as a short-yardage specialist and special teams contributor at the professional level.
