Spencer Fano is an offensive tackle and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who declared after his junior season at the University of Utah. A native of Spanish Fork, Utah and a member of an NFL family that includes four uncles who played professionally, Fano was one of the most decorated offensive line recruits in Utah program history as a four-star prospect from Timpview High School in the 2023 class, ranked as high as the No. 7 tackle nationally by 247Sports. He enrolled at Utah and became only one of two true freshmen nationally to start at the offensive tackle position from the opening game of the 2023 season, earning CFN Freshman All-American recognition across 13 starts at left tackle. Utah moved him to right tackle for his sophomore year in 2024, and he earned second-team All-American recognition from multiple outlets including AP and Walter Camp along with first-team All-Big 12 honors. In 2025 he returned to right tackle and was dominant, allowing zero sacks across 357 pass-blocking snaps, winning Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year honors, reaching the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award finalist stages, and earning consensus All-American status. His offensive line won the Joe Moore Award as the nation's best unit.
Measuring 6 feet 6 inches and approximately 311 pounds with exceptional athletic testing including the highest overall combine score among all offensive tackles at the 2026 Scouting Combine, Fano is one of the most athletically gifted tackles in the class. His lateral mobility, body control, and ability to execute blocks in space translate immediately to zone-heavy NFL offenses, and his technical foundation in pass protection, including his patience in his kick slide and accurate hand placement, is considered among the most polished in the class despite his young age. The primary limitations are his arm length and hand size, which rank below the preferred thresholds and have some evaluators projecting a potential move inside to guard, and his functional strength, as he can be pressured by raw power rushers who win the leverage battle. He projects as a late first-round or early second-round selection with starter-level ability on day one and a ceiling that will grow with added strength and experience.
