Omari Kelly Bio

Omari Kelly is a wide receiver and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at Michigan State after previous stops at Auburn and Middle Tennessee State. A native of Trussville, Alabama, Kelly was a highly regarded recruit in the 2022 class who joined Auburn and contributed as a true freshman and sophomore before seeing limited usage in a crowded Tigers receiving corps. He entered the transfer portal after two seasons in the SEC and landed at Middle Tennessee State, where he broke out in 2024 with 53 receptions for 869 yards and four touchdowns and earned recognition as one of the top Group of Five receivers in the country. He transferred to Michigan State for his senior season in 2025, continuing his production with 47 receptions for 626 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games despite playing on a 4-8 team and earning honorable mention All-Big Ten recognition from the media. He finished his career with 105 receptions for 1,596 receiving yards and six touchdowns across 42 collegiate games at three programs.

Standing 6-foot and around 186 pounds, Kelly is a smooth, versatile receiver known for his ability to win at multiple levels of the field and create separation through route craftmanship and body control. He demonstrated the ability to step up at the Big Ten level after building his reputation in Conference USA, and his willingness to compete in high-volume situations for a struggling Michigan State offense showcased a professional work ethic. He adds value as a special teams contributor and has experience lining up in multiple alignments. NFL evaluators project Kelly as a priority undrafted free agent to Day 3 candidate with the route-running instincts and competitive toughness to compete for a depth receiver role and special teams spot on an NFL roster.
