Max Iheanachor is an offensive tackle and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who played three seasons at Arizona State University. A native of Los Angeles, California who was born in Nigeria and immigrated to the United States at age 13, Iheanachor grew up playing soccer and basketball and did not play organized football until enrolling at East Los Angeles College in 2021. He developed rapidly as a JUCO player, earning a top-10 national junior college prospect ranking by 247Sports, and joined Arizona State in 2023 following his commitment to the program after the offensive line coaching staff from Fresno State moved to Tempe. He started five games as a true newcomer in 2023 when injuries struck the Sun Devil line, then became a full-time starter at right tackle in 2024, logging 923 snaps across all 14 games as Arizona State made a College Football Playoff run. He earned second-team All-Big 12 recognition in 2025 with 859 additional snaps, accumulating 2,107 career offensive snaps and 32 games across his three seasons in Tempe.
Measuring 6 feet 6 inches and approximately 321 to 330 pounds with 34.5-inch arms and elite movement athleticism born from his soccer and basketball background, Iheanachor is one of the most physically intriguing tackle prospects in the class. His feet are absurdly quick for his size and his ability to mirror speed rushers and recover from compromised positions gives evaluators a legitimate basis for first-round projections despite his limited football experience. The significant concerns are his technique, consistency, and pass-blocking footwork under stress, where his tendency to overset against speed creates inside-counter vulnerabilities, and his pad level and hand placement remain developmental. He accumulated 16 career penalties, eight in 2025 alone. Teams that can invest time in his development project him as a Day 2 selection with genuine starter upside and a rare physical ceiling for any lineman in the class who has been playing football for fewer than five years.
