Lacy was in the midst of a legal battle where he was charged with negligent homicide stemming from an incident in January.

Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy passed away on Saturday...
Kyren Lacy declared for the NFL draft after five seasons and was removed from the 2025 Senior Bowl roster after his recent arrest.
Lacy looked like he could be the next prominent wide receiver coming out of LSU, standing tall at 6’2″, 213 lbs and securing 9 Touchdowns and 866 receiving yards this year. Lacy started the year especially hot, gaining 60 or more receiving yards in five of his first six games of the season, before eclipsing 60 yards only three times in his final six games.
To go along with his production that dwindled as the year went on, now Lacy faces much bigger issues, as he was arrested two weeks ago for negligent homicide and hit-and-run after Louisiana State Police said he caused an accident that resulted in the death of former United States Marine Herman Hall. While it was unclear until recently whether he would still be participating in the Senior Bowl, he’s officially been removed from the roster and won’t be attending the practices or game.
Lacy was projected to be a mid-round pick before he was arrested. He’ll hope for a favorable outcome with his legal proceedings, as his NFL career is now in jeopardy.
