Jonah Coleman Bio

Jonah Coleman

Jonah Coleman is a running back and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at the University of Washington after two seasons at the University of Arizona. A native of Stockton, California, Coleman was a three-star recruit who chose Arizona in the 2022 class and developed steadily with the Wildcats, posting 372 yards as a freshman and breaking out with 871 rushing yards, five touchdowns, and 25 receptions as a sophomore in 2023. He followed head coach Jedd Fisch to Washington, where he became just the 15th Husky to eclipse 1,000 rushing yards in a single season, finishing 2024 with 1,053 yards, 10 touchdowns, and 23 receptions. In his senior season in 2025 he led the Huskies with 758 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns, adding 31 receptions for 354 yards, and his exceptional ball security throughout his career, fumbling just twice across more than 670 career touches, became one of his most cited attributes by evaluators.

Measured at 5-foot-8 and approximately 220 to 227 pounds, Coleman is a compact, powerful, and densely built runner with a naturally low center of gravity, outstanding contact balance, and the ability to generate yards after contact on virtually every touch. He is an elite zone-rushing back, demonstrating patience behind the line of scrimmage and exceptional vision to find and exploit creases before they close. His involvement in the passing game grew each season, and he is a willing and reliable pass protector with the frame and physicality to take on rushers. Top-end speed is a genuine limitation, and Coleman will not consistently generate explosive plays in the open field at the NFL level. He projects as a Day 2 to early Day 3 pick with a clear path to an NFL roster as a durable, scheme-versatile workhorse back who can contribute early in short-yardage situations and develop into a starting role in the right gap- or zone-based offense.
