Dominic Richardson is a running back and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at the University of Tulsa after previous stops at Oklahoma State, Baylor, and New Mexico State. A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Richardson was a highly recruited prospect out of Bishop McGuinness High School who joined Oklahoma State in 2020 and rushed for 1,139 yards and 15 touchdowns in three seasons with the Cowboys before entering the transfer portal. He spent time at Baylor and New Mexico State, appearing in 45 combined games and adding 1,767 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns before landing at Tulsa for his final season in 2025. With the Golden Hurricane, he earned American Conference Second Team honors after rushing for 1,065 yards and five touchdowns on 212 carries across 12 games, becoming the 23rd player in program history to top 1,000 rushing yards in a single season while adding 20 receptions for 130 yards. His 57 career games and 2,832 career rushing yards on 640 carries are a testament to his durability over a six-year collegiate journey.
Measured at 6-foot and 210 pounds, Richardson is a patient, downhill runner with good vision, strong contact balance, and the ability to wear defenses down between the tackles over the course of a game. He showed at Tulsa that he could handle a heavy workload as a featured back, including a 200-yard rushing game and four games over 100 yards in 2025, demonstrating the stamina and consistency evaluators look for in a power-oriented ball carrier. His pass-catching ability is functional, and he brings experience in multiple offensive schemes across five different programs. Richardson profiles as a developmental Day 3 candidate or priority undrafted free agent with legitimate short-yardage and goal-line value, and his toughness and production in the American Conference could earn him a roster spot in a committee backfield at the next level.
