DJ Rogers Bio

DJ Rogers

DJ Rogers is a tight end and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who played his entire collegiate career with the TCU Horned Frogs. A native of Bellevue, Washington, Rogers was a four-star recruit rated among the top tight ends nationally in the 2021 class and held offers from programs including Miami, Penn State, LSU, and Georgia before initially committing to California and ultimately flipping to sign with TCU. He appeared in games across his first two seasons while developing behind veteran contributors and recorded his first career reception in 2023 with seven catches for 78 yards and a touchdown. He grew into a more prominent role in 2024, catching 12 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, before stepping into the starting role vacated by Jared Wiley for his final season in 2025. That year Rogers caught 32 passes for 300 yards and two scores, all career highs, while serving as the Horned Frogs' lead tight end. His five-year career in Fort Worth concluded with 51 receptions for 520 yards and five touchdowns, and he was selected to participate in both the 2026 Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine.

Standing 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Rogers possesses the prototypical frame NFL evaluators target at the position with the length and athleticism to play across multiple alignments. He is known for his blocking ability as an inline tight end and on the move, his reliable hands in intermediate areas of the field, and the patient route running of a player who developed within a program that has consistently produced professional tight ends. His receiving production in 2025 showed steady growth in his ability to identify coverage and get open against Big 12 competition. NFL evaluators project him as a developmental tight end with versatile blocking capability and growing pass-catching ability, making him a Day 3 candidate who can contribute on special teams and develop into a useful two-way tight end in a balanced offensive system at the next level.
