Lineup Makers for Daily Fantasy – Week 8 Edition

by Taylor Smith, October 26, 2018

Value plays are the key to lineup creation on FanDuel and other DFS sites. Jalen Richard and others offer the best value based on advanced stats and metrics. Richard was a prolific college receiver that has translated that talent to the NFL based on his top-10 receiving metrics. The Raiders will be desperate for playmakers after trading Amari Cooper to the Cowboys and placing Marshawn Lynch on IR.

Anthony Miller is another prime value target for week 8 on FanDuel DFS. Miller is a prototypical slot receiver and was a dominant college producer out of Memphis. The Jets have struggled covering the slot thus far, setting Miller up for a good matchup to capitalize on after career-high marks in routes and targets in week 7.

Amari Cooper Butterfly Effect: Pick up Martavis Bryant in fantasy football

by Matthew M. Stevens, October 23, 2018

Martavis Bryant personifies explosive upside, evidenced by a 90th-percentile or better Catch Radius, Speed Score and SPARQ-x Score. Bryant has been a downfield playmaker since entering the NFL, and this season, his Yards Per Reception (YPR) again ranks in the top-20.

Michael Gallup’s emergence gives the Cowboys a legitimate No. 1 receiver who boasts an impressive advanced metrics prospect profile. Pairing him with Amari Cooper will not diminish Gallup’s fantasy value, it will likely strengthen it.

Tomorrow’s Newspaper: Cameron Meredith and waiver wire prescience for week 7

by Ray Marzarella, October 21, 2018

A key to winning consistently in fantasy football is identifying potential breakouts before they happen. Stashing players that would become hot adds with a big game before any of your competitors have a chance to acquire them is a winning strategy in any format.

Cameron Meredith has been a long-time favorite of the RotoUnderworld community going back to his days as a Chicago Bear. A 6-3 receiver with a 10.83 (89th-percentile) Agility Score catching passes from Drew Brees in a high-powered offense is about to see his role increase, as it has steadily been since his season debut in Week 3, and nobody seems to care.

Lineup Makers for Daily Fantasy – Week 7 Edition

by Taylor Smith, October 19, 2018

Cheaper players are key to creating better lineups in DFS. Jermaine Kearse and others have rock-bottom salaries with tremendous upside that will allow you to turn a profit in Week 7 on FanDuel. Kearse saw a season-high 10 targets from Sam Darnold last week, which equates to a 33 percent target share. He is the ideal value play this week on FanDuel.

David Njoku is hot off of a 12-target game where he posted a 7-55-1 stat line.  Somehow there are nine tight ends priced higher than he is.  Njoku has now seen 30 targets over QB Baker Mayfield’s three starts and faces the Buccaneers who cede a league-high 16.9 FanDuel points to opposing tight ends.

Return of the Mack: Pick up Marlon Mack on the fantasy football waiver wire

by Matthew M. Stevens, October 16, 2018

Marlon Mack averaged 6.0 yards per carry and commanded an equally impressive 10.9-percent target share at the college level, indicating an all-purpose skill set. Beyond his college résumé, Mack’s upper percentile Speed Score and Burst Score at 5-11, 213-pounds demonstrates the requisite size-adjusted athleticism to be an NFL bell cow back.

Taylor Gabriel is faster than Allen Robinson and gets crazy separation: Gabriel’s 2.18 Target Separation is head and shoulders above Robinson’s (1.05). Yet Robinson is owned in every league and Gabriel is widely available.
