Lorenzo Styles Jr. is a defensive back and NFL Draft prospect who played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes football after beginning his collegiate career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football. A native of Pickerington, Ohio, Styles attended Pickerington Central High School, where he was one of the top recruits in the state and earned four star recruiting status. He initially joined Notre Dame as a wide receiver and played two seasons with the program, appearing in 26 games and recording 54 receptions for 684 yards and two touchdowns during the 2021 and 2022 seasons. After the 2022 season, Styles transferred to Ohio State and made the transition from wide receiver to defensive back, beginning a position change that reshaped his role as he prepared for a professional career.
Standing 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 195 pounds, Styles developed into a versatile defensive back in the Buckeyes’ secondary while contributing on defense and special teams. He played in multiple seasons at Ohio State and was part of the program’s defensive rotation after converting to cornerback in 2023, later appearing in all 16 games during the 2024 season while recording 16 tackles and four pass breakups. Across his collegiate career he appeared in 60 games between Notre Dame and Ohio State, gaining experience both as a receiver and defensive back.
