Fernando Carmona Jr. is an offensive lineman and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career with the Arkansas Razorbacks after beginning it at San Jose State. A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Carmona attended Las Vegas High School, where he originally played tight end, and was recruited to San Jose State, where he made the transition to offensive tackle as a redshirt freshman. After redshirting in 2021, he started all 24 games over two seasons for the Spartans at left tackle, earning Honorable Mention All-Mountain West Conference honors in 2023 and posting an 81.5 overall PFF grade while helping San Jose State win a co-regular season Mountain West Championship. He transferred to Arkansas ahead of the 2024 season, where he started all 13 games at left tackle and earned two SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors before shifting inside to left guard for the 2025 season, starting all 12 games and serving as a team captain while helping the Razorbacks put up six games of 500-plus yards of total offense.
His father, Fernando Sr., was an All-Western Athletic Conference first baseman at Utah in 1985, and Carmona brings an impressive athletic background to the offensive line. Standing approximately 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, Carmona is known for solid grip strength, a low center of gravity that allows him to absorb power at the point of attack, and a scrappy and aggressive play style with extensive experience at both tackle and guard. NFL evaluators project him as a versatile interior offensive lineman with the best path to an NFL roster as a guard or center, where his football intelligence, two-year SEC starting experience, and ability to play multiple positions along the line give him a realistic chance to contribute in a depth or developmental role at the next level.
