James Brockermeyer is a center and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes after previous stops at Alabama and TCU. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Brockermeyer attended All Saints Episcopal School, where he was a four-star recruit in the 2021 class and committed to Alabama alongside his twin brother Tommy, a five-star offensive tackle prospect. He is the son of former NFL first-round pick and left tackle Blake Brockermeyer and the grandson of former Texas football player Kay Brockermeyer, representing three generations of football lineage. After spending three seasons at Alabama in a developmental role, he transferred to TCU for the 2024 season and earned his first full starting assignment across all 12 games at center, before transferring once more to Miami for 2025, where he anchored the Hurricanes' offensive line during their College Football Playoff run and earned Third Team All-ACC and First Team All-American recognition, finishing with 28 career starts.
Standing approximately 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, Brockermeyer is known for sound fundamental technique, quick recognition of defensive line stunts and blitzes, a good initial punch, and a competitive edge rooted in a deep family football tradition that has shaped his preparation for the game since childhood. His experience starting in both the Big 12 and ACC, combined with his football pedigree and a strong Senior Bowl showing, positions him as a developmental center with the intelligence, technique, and versatility to compete for a starting role at the next level.
