Tyreak Sapp is a defensive end and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who played his entire collegiate career with the Florida Gators. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sapp attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he recorded over 100 career tackles and 21.5 sacks, earning selection to the All-American Bowl. He was rated a four-star recruit in the 2021 class, holding offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia Tech, and Miami before committing to Florida. After redshirting in 2021, he steadily developed through the Gators' rotation, posting 20 tackles in 2022 and 24 tackles with two sacks in 2023 before breaking out in 2024 with a team-leading seven sacks and 13 tackles for loss, earning the eighth-highest PFF grade among all FBS edge rushers that season. He closed his career in 2025 with 34 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss across 12 starts, finishing with 125 career tackles, 10 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Listed at 6-foot-3 and 272 pounds, Sapp is known for exceptional upper-body strength, heavy hands, and elite leverage that makes him one of the most powerful run defenders in the class. His ability to set a firm edge, absorb double teams, and stack and shed blockers at the point of attack has drawn significant attention from NFL evaluators, who project him as a high-floor run defender and developing pass rusher with the physical tools and special teams potential to contribute immediately at the next level.
