Deven Eastern is a defensive line prospect from the University of Minnesota who stands 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 320 pounds. A native of Shakopee, Minnesota, Eastern joined the Golden Gophers as a highly regarded in state recruit and developed into an important piece of the team’s defensive front. After redshirting his first season in 2021, he gradually worked his way into the rotation and gained experience across multiple interior defensive line roles in the Big Ten.
Eastern became a steady contributor for Minnesota over several seasons, finishing his career with productive defensive line play that included 38 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in one of his most active seasons. Known for his size, length, and strength at the point of attack, he has primarily lined up at defensive tackle and nose tackle while helping anchor the interior against the run. With more than forty collegiate games of experience and extensive snaps against Big Ten competition, Eastern enters the NFL evaluation process as a powerful interior lineman who can provide depth and run defense along a professional defensive front.
