Charles Demmings is a cornerback and NFL Draft prospect who played college football for the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks football. A native of Mesquite, Texas, Demmings attended Mesquite Horn High School, where he began developing as a defensive back and also competed in track and field. He later joined Stephen F. Austin and grew into a key contributor in the program’s secondary. Demmings is listed at approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall and around 190 pounds and played primarily as an outside cornerback during his college career.
During his four seasons with the Lumberjacks, Demmings became one of the most productive defensive backs in program history. He finished his collegiate career with 63 total tackles, nine interceptions, and 35 passes defended, setting the Stephen F. Austin school record for passes defended. His standout senior season earned him First Team All Southland Conference honors and multiple FCS All American selections, and he was invited to postseason showcase events such as the 2026 Senior Bowl and the East West Shrine Bowl. Demmings also drew attention during the pre draft process with a strong showing at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, including a 4.41 second 40 yard dash and elite explosive testing numbers for the cornerback position.
