Fred Davis II Bio

Fred Davis II

Fred Davis II is a defensive back and NFL prospect who played college football for the Northwestern Wildcats football after previous stops at Clemson Tigers football, UCF Knights football, and Jacksonville State Gamecocks football. Born February 12, 2002, in Jacksonville, Florida, Davis attended Trinity Christian Academy, where he was a highly regarded defensive back recruit and earned selection to the All-American Bowl. A consensus four-star prospect, he committed to Clemson as one of the top defensive backs in the 2020 recruiting class. Davis stands about 6-foot-1 and around 200 pounds and is known for his length and speed as a perimeter cornerback.

Davis began his collegiate career at Clemson from 2020–2022, appearing in 27 games and recording 32 tackles and four pass breakups while working primarily as a rotational defensive back and special teams contributor. After transferring to UCF in 2023 and seeing limited action, he moved to Jacksonville State for the 2024 season, where he played in all 14 games with nine starts and totaled 18 tackles and four pass breakups while helping the program capture the Conference USA title. Davis transferred again to Northwestern for the 2025 season and became a key starter in the Wildcats’ secondary, finishing the year with 32 tackles, six pass breakups, and a fumble recovery across 12 games. His performance helped raise his draft profile and earned him an invitation to the 2026 Senior Bowl as he prepared for the NFL Draft.
