Keionte Scott is a cornerback and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who played his final collegiate season at the University of Miami after previous stops at Auburn and Houston. Scott grew up between Las Vegas and San Diego before settling at Helix High School in La Mesa, California. He went unrecruited out of high school and attended Snow College in Utah, where he earned two NJCAA All-American honors and was named conference co-Defensive Player of the Year before entering the transfer portal as the No. 4-ranked JUCO prospect nationally. He signed with Auburn in 2022 and immediately started, recording 54 tackles as a nickel corner and earning All-SEC Second Team honors in 2023, then dealt with injury limitations in 2024 before transferring to Miami for his final season. In 2025 with the Hurricanes he delivered his best work, totaling 64 tackles, five sacks, two interceptions, five passes defensed, 13 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles while helping Miami advance deep into the College Football Playoff.
Measured at 6-foot and 192 pounds, Scott is a physical, aggressive, high-energy cornerback who functions best in the slot as a nickel defender. He plays at one speed, attacking every snap with the kind of downhill aggression that makes him a genuine run-support threat and one of the most effective blitzing defensive backs in this class. His ball skills are natural and his coverage IQ is advanced, particularly in zone where he reads quarterback eyes efficiently and closes quickly to the ball. The knocks on Scott center on his age, which is older than many prospects given his JUCO path, his tackling reliability in open space, and questions about whether his physical style will translate to consistent success against faster, more refined route runners at the NFL level. He projects as a Day Two selection whose competitive intensity, blitzing upside and slot coverage skills could make him an impactful nickel cornerback and special teams weapon for a scheme-fit defense.
