Gennings Dunker is an offensive lineman and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who spent five seasons at the University of Iowa. A native of Lena, Illinois, Dunker was a three-star recruit from Lena-Winslow High School in the 2021 class who arrived in Iowa City after helping his team win state championships and excelling as a two-way lineman. He redshirted his true freshman year due to a foot injury and saw limited action in 2022 before starting all 13 games in both 2023 and 2024 at right tackle. In 2024 he earned second-team All-Big Ten recognition and the following season was his best, starting all 13 games, earning first-team All-Big Ten recognition from the media, and helping Iowa's offensive line win the Joe Moore Award as the nation's top unit, with the Hawkeyes rushing for 200 or more yards five times. He also earned second-team Academic All-American recognition, the Forest Evashevski Academic Achievement Award, and multiple postseason lineman honors. His Senior Bowl performance reinforced his reputation as a physical, competitive blocker.
Standing approximately 6 feet 5 inches and 315 to 320 pounds with a credited 680-pound back squat and 34-inch arms, Dunker is one of the more physically powerful interior linemen in the class and brings a finishing mentality in the run game that evaluators consistently cite as his calling card. He generates violent initial contact, sustains blocks with active leg drive, and pursues defenders relentlessly through the whistle in a way that suggests immediate value in a gap or duo run scheme. The significant evaluation concern is his best position in the NFL, as most scouts project him moving from tackle inside to guard, where his limited lateral quickness and shorter arm length would be less exposed than they are when matching speed rushers on the edge. His pass protection can break down against quicker interior defenders and his balance issues in space have been flagged. He projects as a Day 2 to early Day 3 selection with legitimate starter upside at guard in a power run offense.
