Kejon Owens is a running back and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who spent his entire collegiate career with the Florida International Golden Panthers. A native of Miami, Florida, Owens attended Miami Central before committing to FIU, where he redshirted as a freshman before gradually increasing his workload over five seasons. He developed steadily through depth and rotational roles before claiming the starting job in 2025 under new head coach Willie Simmons, delivering the most productive running back season in program history. He rushed for a school-record 1,334 yards, the seventh-most in the country, on 211 carries at 6.33 yards per carry with 11 touchdowns, posting five 100-yard games and earning Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year honors, the first Panther to receive the award in program history. Over his career, Owens totaled 2,262 rushing yards, finishing second in FIU history in that category, and was invited to the 2026 American Bowl.
Measuring 5-10 and 210 pounds, Owens is a physical, inside-oriented runner who wins through contact balance, power, and discipline between the tackles. He keeps his pads low, accelerates quickly through contact, and consistently falls forward rather than going down to the first man, producing dirty yards that wear down defenses over the course of a game.
