Lewis Bond Bio

Lewis Bond is a wide receiver and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who spent his entire five-year collegiate career at Boston College. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Bond was a three-star recruit out of Kenwood Academy who also fielded scholarship offers from programs like Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt before choosing the Eagles. He redshirted his first season in 2021 before becoming a reliable contributor, accumulating 52 catches for 646 yards and seven touchdowns in 2023 and following with 67 receptions for 689 yards and three touchdowns in 2024 while earning honorable mention All-ACC recognition. His senior season was his best, as he led Boston College with 88 catches for 993 yards and four touchdowns across 12 games, setting the program's single-season receptions record and establishing himself as the Eagles' all-time leader in career catches with 213 receptions for 2,385 yards and 11 touchdowns. He earned second-team All-ACC honors and was a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award as the nation's most versatile player.

Measured at 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, Bond is a quick, reliable, and smart possession receiver who has shown the ability to work from both outside and slot alignments throughout his career and brings particularly strong zone awareness and the football intelligence to find open windows and convert in high-traffic areas. He brings only two career drops per season over his four active years, reflecting consistent hands and the competitiveness to work through contact in the middle of the field. His limitations center on below-average top-end speed and a shorter, stockier frame that will restrict him primarily to the slot at the NFL level, with concerns about whether he can consistently release cleanly against physical press coverage from NFL corners. Bond did not receive a Combine invitation but profiles as a Day 3 pick or priority undrafted free agent with an identifiable value as a chain-moving slot option in a quick-passing offense under a West Coast or route-tree-heavy coordinator.
