Harold Fannin Jr. has been missing organized team activities and mandatory minicamp with a lingering groin injury. This offseason absence follows an encouraging 2025 rookie campaign where he delivered 11.7 Fantasy Points Per Game, commanding a 21.6-percent Target Share and a 30.8-percent Dominator Rating.

There are no concerns that Fannin will also miss mandatory training camp practices later this summer, and he remains the favorite to be the team’s target leader in 2026. Still just 21.8 years of age, Fannin remains a super-premium asset in fantasy football tight end premium formats, especially dynasty leagues.

Todd Monken’s schematic wrinkles using motion and misdirection have been on display during offseason practices, but target volume distribution remains the critical equation for this offense. Denzel Boston commanded an impressive 26.5-percent college Target Share and sophomore tight end Harold Fannin Jr. was last year’s target leader. Designed touches for Concepcion ensures that the first-rounder will not be marginalized in Year 1.

If Concepcion can transcend a few engineered touches per game and leverage his dynamic skill set, he can be a useful flex option in year one. However, Concepcion offers maximum utility teams aspiring to compete for a league championship in 2027 in fantasy football dynasty league formats.

The Cleveland Browns just secured a massive, 6-foot-4 WR at No. 39 by drafting Denzel Boston, a certified possession alpha who pairs a surgical 2.5% Drop Rate with an elite 61% Contested Catch Rate. Boston’s analytical profile boasts a 26.5% Target Share and a scorched-earth 112.3 Passer Rating when Targeted, proving he can command high-volume usage while remaining hyper-efficient at all three levels of the field.

For Dynasty players, Boston remains late first/early second rookie pick on an offense that is stacking young weapons (KC Concepcion, Harold Fannin Jr., Quinshon Judkins) to help whoever ends up starting under center.

David Njoku will become a free agent after spending the first 9 years of his career in Cleveland. Njoku is coming off of a down year, totaling just 293 receiving yards, his lowest since 2020. The emergence of Harold Fannin Jr. allows Cleveland to let Njoku walk and allocate their money elsewhere, while Njoku will try to find a new home where he can be a key offensive weapon once again.

Fantasy players should be thrilled on all fronts. The Browns are now Harold Fannin’s team, and he will have a very real opportunity to surpass his 107-target rookie season without Njoku.

For Njoku, a fresh start will be a welcome sight. The Cleveland Browns only managed 16.4 points per game, placing them at 31st in the NFL, ahead of just the Raiders. Njoku is 29 years old, which should mean a few more years of high-level production. There are plenty of landing spots were Njoku can return to being the impact player he was when he made the Pro Bowl just 2 years ago, when he had Joe Flacco at QB.

After missing practice all week, it comes as no surprise that Harold Fannin Jr. will miss the regular-season finale against the Bengals. Fannin reinjured his groin, making an outstanding touchdown grab against the Steelers. It was his sixth touchdown of an impressive rookie campaign that saw him take fellow tight end David Njoku’s lunch money and overtake him as the focal point of the offense. The rookie currently sits as the tight end five in PPR formats and tight end six on KTC, and his ADP is due to rise in the offseason.

The third round selection burst onto the NFL scene and never looked back. Known for his crisp routes, strong hands, and YAC ability, many questioned whether his college production could translate well, given his somewhat undersized stature for typical tight end standards. Fannin finished the season with 72 receptions, 731 yards and six touchdowns. There are not many bright spots in Cleveland, but the tight end looks like a crucial building block for the future.

Harold Fannin Jr. suffered a groin injury in practice today and said he intends to play on Sunday against the division rival Pittsburgh Steelers. However, head coach Kevin Stefanski said the team would like to see how it progresses before Sunday.

Fannin has been one of the lone bright spots for the Browns this season, ranking as the Tight End six in PPR formats and recording 70 receptions for 701 yards and five touchdowns while also rushing for thirteen yards and a touchdown, showing his versatility. Injuries this season have been devastating to fantasy managers, making it feel more like a battle of attrition than a chance to make the finals with a powerful team. This would have been a smash matchup for Fannin as the Steelers defense bleeds points to the tight end position. Managers must stay on top of the news in case Fannin can not play and need to pivot to another player.
