J. Michael Sturdivant Bio

J. Michael Sturdivant is a wide receiver and 2026 NFL Draft prospect who finished his collegiate career at the University of Florida after previous stops at California and UCLA. A native of Flower Mound, Texas, Sturdivant was rated a four-star recruit in the 2021 class and committed to California, where he earned Freshman All-American honors in 2022 with 65 receptions for 755 yards and seven touchdowns. He transferred to UCLA for 2023 and posted 36 catches for 597 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games, then followed that with 22 receptions for 315 yards and two touchdowns in 2024. He transferred to Florida for his final season in 2025, recording 27 catches for 406 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 15.0 yards per reception. He also participated in the 2026 East-West Shrine Bowl as part of his pre-draft process. Sturdivant comes from a football family and carries NFL bloodlines through his father, who played professionally, and is the nephew of Pro Football Hall of Famer Floyd Little.

Measured at 6-foot-3 and 213 pounds with a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, Sturdivant possesses the size-speed combination that immediately draws the attention of scouts. He is a natural vertical threat who covers ground quickly with long, smooth strides, tracks deep balls well, and was used throughout his college career as a downfield option capable of stretching coverage. His production has been inconsistent due in part to the quality of quarterback play he faced at Cal, UCLA, and Florida, and his route tree and short-area quickness remain areas for continued development. NFL evaluators project Sturdivant as a Day 3 or priority undrafted free agent candidate with legitimate developmental upside as a deep threat, and teams with strong-armed quarterbacks running play-action heavy offenses figure as the best fit for his skill set.
